How come cgminer 3. No such file or diectory. Are you using older version of Ubuntu? You may have to install 32bit library, try googling the error and you should be able to find the commands to install the missing libraries.
You can pretty much use settings for r9 x but just tone gpu engine and mem clock down a bit like 20 to 40Mhz. Try using Ubuntu if you can u should be able to run much higher than Windows.

When you start the rig press F12 several times during the very beginning of start up before any screen comes on. When you do this you will get to a screen where you can configure what the first drive the computer or rig will start from. Choose the one that says san disc or what ever type usbstick you have.

You may need to tone down GPU engine and Memclock values to something low first then find the best values, I would suggest starting with and for GPU engine and Memclock. I am finding on line that there are sooooo many people battling black screen of death issues with the AMD catalyst drivers and ubuntu. Every solution is different and equally not helpful. In my case, I can install a perfectly working system onto a disk, and as soon as I install the AMD catalyst driver, the whole build is destroyed, disk is no longer recognized and has to be started over from scratch. I sure wish this issue could be sorted out once and for all.
You also need to load up as a super user as I did. This would not work without being a super user. I wpent days figuring this out since Max has never answered any of my questions on here or facebook.

Just putting this out there for those who had the same problem as me: I tried installing this 2 times in a row onto a flash drive as ext 4 journeying file system, did not work, it kept on saying something like verifying dmi data on boot which is normal but it did not go away, so instead of picking the ext4 file system for installation I picked ext2 and it worked.

Make sure the graphic cards are not close to each other, and make sure to use risers to separate them, if the cards are getting too hot, that may cause sickness. For second problem, try swapping out the risers.
Do you suggest to try jumper wire the riser shourtcut. Make sure you run Step 14 after putting in all your cards then reboot, otherwise they cannot be detected. Do you think is that will be difference than the Catalyst? I couldnt get the cards to go over khs.
