Thanks for gyft the support. I've had bitcoin issue amazon where they decided that I had bought a book mining then they sent mining it and charged me for it. That's bitcoin unusual, or at least I think so. Sincerely, Account Specialist Amazon. Gyft's Terms of Sale look amazon terrible; they basically say they're not responsible for gyft.
If your complaints are more public, they're more likely to pay attention. I would recommend going through the typical private communication channels before going to social media. I don't agree with this as like a lot of companies they send you some canned response that most of the time has nothing to do with the question or problem..
If you can't get a real response out of them, sure. Call and ask for a manager, if they don't give you a good enough answer. He probably hit bitcoin big and wanted to cash out at some point, so he bought a bunch of Amazon gift cards rather than flood the market with bitcoin, or end up with a conspicuous amount of cash. Not a bad plan if you regularly buy most of your household goods and even consumables on Amazon.
Is it not your fault if Amazon is calling the gift code "invalid". Gyft should do more than say "sorry all sales are final" as they are the ones that sold it to you. I hope this works out for you. The card purchase method was charged back after the fact, or called in as stolen.
The card would have been good when used or added , but then later no longer good. If it is true, Amazon could be a little more helpful and informative in their response than "you submitted an invalid gift card," so even then they're on the hook for poor service and communication.
As much as I don't want to defend Amazon, the practice of giving little information is often in their benefit as it helps prevent scammers from gaining further information to improve their scams. On the other hand, the scammer most likely knows that they used a stolen CC, while the rare false positive is caught in a Kafkaesque "you know what you did" mess.
Have had issues where I purchased WF cards from Gyft then had them emptied before I even used them -- either Gyft is buying shady cards or someone is getting Gyft's codes -- I have gone with smaller value cards and havent had an issue.

After doing a bit of digging, Whole Foods GCs has the number that appears above the bar code, but the bar code has that plus eight digits. Most likely a counter-fraud number. Anyways, if you're nice to a manager they can type it in, but it's gotten harder and harder. I will say about 1. Just my 2 cents and I use WF almost every day with the gyft app.
To be fair Gyft isn't just used by Bitcoin users. I can't imagine Gyft having issues? Its like extreme couponing. I do the lazy version where I buy bitcoins and other stuff I need anyway on my visa and it gives me airline miles too. There is a vast underground network of people performing Amazon gift card scams, and you risk involving yourself anytime you buy an Amazon gift card for BTC.
The ones being sold on LocalBitcoins at deep discount are the same type of deal. I haven't been able to figure out exactly how the racket works, and whether Amazon or the credit card companies are eating all the costs, but it involves either fraudulent purchase or charge-back. As a buyer, you should let others get their hands dirty messing around with these cards, and just buy the products you want directly from Purse, or somewhere else that abstracts the risk of the gift card away from you.
They're handling the issue and risk of making new Amazon accounts constantly, as they spend these fraudulent gift cards, and taking their cut for it. It may just be an exceptionally rare and unlucky case, but I'd still be hesitant to use purse either. I've used purse a few times and always got my items but for some reason the items are reshipped to me instead of directly.
This means shipping takes twice as long. There's something sketchy about it because they also don't include the info that you need for returns so you have to go back to them and request it etc. It just feels like there's something sketchy going on and I'm paying legit btc so I don't want to get caught in some illegal activity. This is the message you get if a gift card becomes bad.

Yes I am sure I have used Gyft in the past to purchase from Amazon and never had such a problem. I even offered to forward my receipt from Gyft. We have closed your account and canceled all outstanding orders.
You're concerned about Amazon's communication? Sounds like you've used invalid codes in the past and they're just protecting their business. I would be more concerned with the company selling me the bunk codes. I think its perfectly reasonable for someone to create a throw away to bring up a customer service issue with a bitcoin provider.
He probably just has a higher privacy bar and doesn't want people to associate his regular account with bitcoin. They are a million times more helpful on the phone.
Just explain the situation, tell them you've contacted gyft and they are giving you the run around and ask to speak to a supervisor that can talk to gyft on your behalf. For a community created around a piece of technology which requires no trust or figures of authority, you sure seem to like the exact opposites.
Any talk of trust, credibility or account age should have no place in the crypto community. Con-men thrive on building trust and rapport, only to strike when it's most advantageous to them. Whenever someone makes a certain claim, they should follow it up with proof.
If they don't, or if the proof is insufficient, feel free to disregard their statement. In this case it looks like the OP backed up their claim and is asking for advice on how to proceed.
More like you're disparaging gyft for some other reason. I've used them at least 4 times and never had an issue. I too have used Gyft around 4 times with no problems. Which is exactly why I used them again. What would you do?
Never an issue, either with them or eGifter. OP, confirm with Amazon that your Gyft card caused the closure.
In my opinion, there is no comparison at all! I buy just about everything from Amazon, and now I am starting to use Prime Pantry for grocery items. Though I am starting to think that Amazon has become way too powerful.

Gyft sometimes has and there is no way to know if it will or not making Gyft unreliable in the store. Gyft is often able to update your balance inside the app, eGifter almost never can. When Gyft cannot auto-update it allows you to manually log the purchase, eGifter does not. Gyft sorts cards much better. You can swipe over to the next one making paying with multiple cards less painful. Gyft will work without internet access if you've already purchased a card, eGifter will not. If this might be an issue I take a screenshot of the eGifter card s.

For perspective I've been using Gift for at least 2 years and eGifter for about 1 year. Egifter is a little bit slower to open and load cards. This wouldn't be much of a problem except that if you go to another app or browser and use the icon to return to eGifter it must completely reload and you lose whatever you were about to do, including any invoice that was showing. So if you find that you went to pay an invoice with a wallet that turns out to be empty use the back button to return to the invoice.
Recently I use Gyft for Target and eGifter for everything else. Gyft's sketchy points error and possibility of confirmation waits make eGifter's inferior app worth it. The cards swipe at the pump, no problem. Both, because one will sometimes have a better deal than the other. However, you spread your reward points across two platforms this way.
Have you considered Purse. If you're buying gift cards to give to other people, Gyft and eGifter are great. But if you're using your bitcoin to buy Amazon gift cards for purchasing merchandise on your own account, you're leaving lots of discount dollars on the table!
