Dogecoin was a joke with no value because of its unlimited supply. But it was fun and probably did more than anything to spread cryptocurrencies, and increased the visibility of Bitcoin. BipCoin has the best of both worlds: As they say, all hat, no cattle! I am basically a retired software dev and I am very passionate about the DNS problem.

From my interactions on the BitSharesTalk forum and discussions about an alternative DNS on a blockchain, I can see how difficult the problem is to resolve. I may be able to help, but before I contact you to discuss that I need to read your bipcoin whitepaper.

I agree with you fully that the cost of registration needs to be determined by the free market. I just sent him a PM: Hope all is well with you these days. Are you still interested in alternative DNS systems? I was very disappointed the effort to create an alternative DNS based on a blockchain fell apart in the BitShares ecosystem.

It never saw the light of day in graphene either. I can hardly believe nobody has come up a solution or started a project with traction to solve the DNS problem, which is so important. It may be adequate to insure decentralization, but I need to do more research to offer an opinion on that. Just sent you an email. So whoever gave you guys the bright idea to charge 8 dollars or so for each name did not really have a idea of what is really wrong with distributed dns and name squatting.

So the big company names are only going to cost 8 dollars. Free markets always work well and this is why a lot of coins always fail. The day you guys release a coin with dns features and a wallet where any name can be auctioned off then only will you get mass adoption. So why free markets?

Why should anybody dictate what anyone should pay for a domain name. What happens when the early adopters get some top names for 8 dollars. Are our google giants going to like that. The poor Authorship guys must be really going crazy though. I was following a discussion on the bitcointalk forum and for crying out loud, there are so many people there acting either dumb, greedy, entitled, or a combination of those.

I hope at least all the oz bargainers get their tokens. I meant to upvote this but seems I can't anymore. But thanks for the heads up fatboyj. I didn't receive the ETH, I know it that was shenanigans. I will update my post if miracle happen…. In case people didn't see this email this is apparently their final decision on the tokens bounty. Basically they are a bunch of incompetent idiots with no idea of how to handle an increasingly bad situation and have decided to run away.

If I had invested real money in this, I would be very very worried. I got to tokens through referrals, applied to withdraw and got the confirmation email, still haven't received any of the free coins.

I guess now like a lot of people here, never will. Everyone received their ATS tokens if there were no more than 3 registrations from the IP they registered with. We believe that multiple registrations from the same IP is a sign of fraudulent leads and suspended all such accounts. There are token holders: We would like to apologize for the delay in sorting things out and take the time to address some of your concerns.

Thousands of such registrations were entered into the system despite our best efforts to prevent this. Despite our best efforts to filter through fake referrals, a high number of them still managed to get through and that was clear to us when the withdrawals form was completed. If you did not receive any tokens, we apologize but your account was suspended and the decision is final.

Please do not contact us about, such requests will remain unanswered. To cover the number of tokens needed 1M tokens have been pulled from the authors reserved fund of 20M. We went on and checked the transactions log and resent all the failed payments. It has come to our attention that some users are upset about this situation and threatened with leaving bad reviews, calling us all sorts.

We did our best. Needless to say, we ignored them all. Bad reviews are a natural thing and everyone is free to spend their time the way they feel appropriate. This is where a project values stands in: We are happy to have pleased token holders.

We would like to thank them all for their vote of confidence as they are an important part of the upcoming platform. Investors can reach us this week at investors authorship. Once again, we would like to thank everyone who put their trust in our project. We look forward to seeing the project one year from now! The official thread was closed down, but a new one has started here.

I assume they meant to say "flee to a country without an extradition treaty and spend suckers' money on cocktails and beachfront villas"…. Easiest way I know is put your eth address here https: I personally raised around ATS from posting around the place and did not receive mine, and it appears more often than not people got accused of being a cheater and not paid, which is complete BS. If they did really want to pay all legit people, why would they say that withdrawals are open for 45 days and close after 3, rather than keep letting people for withdraw for the full 45 but only process the legit ones?

One of the owners came out terribly in the thread on the other forum, giving useless answers, only answering the questions that were baiting him, complaining about people in the bounty that didn't understand Ether etc..

I also noticed that one of the posters who spammed about 30 times complained about not getting paid, conveniently ended up getting paid. The other owner being revealed as owning a used car yard seems about right. My guess is that this is just one big pump and dump, and they randomised a smaller list to send the tokens out to. Definitely going to steer clear of future ICOs.

Just wanted to add that I got my ATS, my mum and husband haven't yet got theirs though. I'd say there is a big backlog. Hopefully everyone gets their share: When did you apply and how long did it take for the ATS to come through?

Did you get a confirmation email? I applied immediately and they came through after about D My mother and husband haven't received theirs however. It's been 15 days since I got mine. Did you get yours? All trademarks are owned by their respective owners.

Don't use the other longer key Go to http: Freebie 13 Sep 3: Just get the tokens and wait till mid sept, thank me later that day when listed.

Hi mods, Good to see 21 referrers so far, shows this is being taken up. L-platers aren't allowed referral links. Check the posting guidelines. Hi fatboyj, Please see explanation here If the OP of the deal has their own referral code for that merchant, it will show up as the first link in the Referral Block but only after minimum front page votes 25 are received, until then only random referral links will be shown.

You're an awesome bloke, and yea in mid sept we could all be a little richer. I just put 1K on Reddcoin so hopefully that pumps instead. Few questions Do I need to spend any money? Thanks, and looking forward to seeing how this unfolds.

It is exciting for sure! I figured it out: I heard back from their customer service. They recommend using myetherwallet.

It looks so confusing! They monitor IP address. Silly they should allow one other sign up on the same ip. Open the pdf and copy the address to the third field in the authorship sign up page.

There are two numbers, use the one that looks like this, its your Ethereum address, 0xf75d1eBD22D2eD4dba2CBe1c5e24Be89c5 And not like this, its your private key fcccde0c8eefbff2d8ffsf5b Thanks OP, been researching quite a bit on crypto for the past few days, this seems like a good way to get into it.

Yeah will start with BTC markets, just did a deposit tonight. Any insight on litecoin or ripple? Exodus then Thanks for the help. Actually I'll edit my post, no need to mention exodus, save confusion.

I emailed them directly and received a reply within a few hours. In the past two years, has there been enough change? Has there been too much? Meanwhile, many Americans continue to face change in their homes, bank accounts and jobs. Only time will tell if the latest wave of change Americans voted for in the midterm elections will result in a negative or positive outcome.
