This board is very well built, the solder connections are some of the best I've seen, and their customer service was there when I needed them. Setup was simple and fast. I got his for my home PC. The risers are plugged into the matching PSU that powers it. If I lower it to 4 cards it usually stays on between 12 and 24 hours. If I have it on 3 cards it never crashes at all. I've tried different card comboes, no effect.
The next rig has the same issue as the prior except it happens with much less cards in it, anything more than 2 cards and it crashes after mining a few minutes mining.
This is only when on risers however, before all my risers arrived I had it working 2 cards plugged into mother board direct, and 2 on risers, and it worked fine. The last rig is the most annoying, it wont even boot properly on more than 2 cards, if I have 3 in it boots but X server gets errors and then it won't start mining, if I have 4 in it locks up and freezes, if I have 5 in it just resets over and over.
Once again though if I have 2 cards plugged directly into the mother board and 2 on risers it works fine. For the record I have tried swapping cards around and risers etc in a variety of configurations, and it seems to make no difference at all I was kinda just working on the assumption of so long as the wattage maths added up If someone comes up with a winning solution for any rigs I'll be sure to give a healthy LTC tip, I hope my relative newness to reddit doesn't put anyone off helping.
I would recommend trying one rig with two 's turn the donor rig off in the interim and see if it becomes more stable as I suspect it will. The powering off sounds like power issues, faulty PSU maybe? Try taking rig 1 PSU one that works and put it into rig 2 or 3 the one that can run between 3 and 12 hours or one that crashes with more than 2 cards and see if either will run with 5 cards. That one machine that works has PSU's that are probably doing more than their max rating.
Each is likely pulling around to watts. How that W PSU can handle 3 's is beyond me. I can see the 2 on the working, as long as it's just providing power to the cards. Or try a watt psu for 3 cards and the mobo, and 2 off the give yourself some head room. I tried running 4 's off a watt psu and it wouldn't work. I had to split my 's among my rigs, ran 2x 's and 2x's and 1x 3x in the other rigs.
If i try to push intensity or really work the cards the system reboots. Also- I wonder if the circuit you are using has anything to do with this. Are you on a 20A circuit on the one that works? I had a lot of problems on my rig. I would try swapping PSUs out and if you still have identical problems, then try booting on just one stick of RAM at a time to see if any of them are more stable.
You could also boot MemTest86 [link] www. This helped me diagnose the RAM issue. What brand PSUs are you using? Sorry if you posted that I'm on mobile and didn't see that info. Unfortunately quality components make a difference. Best to go top of the line across the board.

I did an RMA through gigabyte and they sent me a brand new board. I was pleasently suprised as I usually have to go through the vendor for computer part RMAs.
Aagaard on November 16, It's a big motherboard, but so far has proven to be very solid. Using it as a linux workstation, loaded up ubuntu and then manually downloaded the video card drivers, had some initial problems when running three monitors with the anti-screen tearing KDE stuff enabled but when I turned it off there hasn't been any other issues.
