Someday the ice will be broken on this code sharing thing too and everyone will start sharing their code from day one and our whole world will start working a thousand times better. I imagine a hacker could inject this sort of script into a hacked page, and runs away with the doges or whatever coins before it's discovered.
Particularly if it's a high-profile page with a lot of visitors. It might still be able to be used in that way, but it needs to be optimized a lot more before that would be practical.

It should work, since this is using javascript a scripting language running in an interpreter - so architecture shouldn't matter , as long as the browser supports javascript it should be fine. Your phone should work as well. If there's a way to, set your PS3's browser to request the desktop version of the site.
I don't know, I don't have a PS3. I think this is nothing short of revolutionary. This could be a viable way for free websites to generate revenue is that a good thing, though??? Apparently other people also think about using this to generate site revenue, instead of pushing ads. That's actually what I originally wanted to do; in it's form at the time though, it was even slower, so there was no chance it would be practical. Maybe one day though!
If it's a good thing or not, that's a whole other conversation It's in the plans, but I don't even know if it's possible yet. I certainly hope it is! Perhaps after it's undergone more optimization it will be possible.

Now I understand, the computations are being done with the javascript. Because this is quite inefficient OP could write a java applet if he wanted greater speeds - its more about the concept and getting dogecoin some attention.
It's setup to not run on mobile devices. Apparently some people want it to and some people have tricked it into running anyway, but I couldn't get it to work on the ones I tried, so I disabled it.
Albeit I have a really cheap and pretty old Android phone and a 1st Gen iPad. I'm worried about it causing battery and heat problems on mobiles though, especially with how inefficient it is right now. But it may make it into future version by popular demand.
Firefox has the ASM. JS which basically compiles specially-marked-up JavaScript into code that runs at half the speeds of native or better. My C is very rusty. Chrome too does implement asm. Also, you can handwrite asm. It's basically a small subset of JS with type annotations. While there is no way a JS miner could compete with cpuminer much less gpu miner , this is a very fun project indeed. Kudos for thinking outside the box! I've been wanting to mine pretty much since the beginning but my laptop wouldn't let me.

Have you thought about implementing it in Java instead of an autostart js? Much like bitminter there's a few implementations out there of java miners you could do it that way for such more doges!
