But soon are we all! If he means he has 1M USD worth of bitcoins, then his statement makes no sense. That's how I take it, and I see no reason why that should make no sense. He said he's a 'bitcoin millionaire' in the same sense that someone might be called 'an oil millionaire', ie: He probably still has most of it as unrealized wealth, still in bitcoin. That statement clearly makes no sense. I don't think that's the sense in which he's using it though.
People don't use that sense colloquially. You call someone a 'dotcom millionaire' they know what you're talking about, you became rich through dotcoms. I've never once heard anyone use a phrase like that in the sense you suggest. Oil and dotcoms aren't currency though. It is unusual to reference a currency in a statement and then expect the reader to assume a different currency exchange particularly in an international forum where people commonly deal in bitcoin, dollars, pounds, euros, etc.
