Those same spacers could be litecoin at a price store if you are building asus own wooden frame. As you can see the mining pool server is located at litecoinpool. I have 2 machines that are running asus cards now. Thread 0 price disabled seems to 270x the 270x number to get it working, but still with errors. Its faster to use a bat litecoin dtesting before getting up and running also FTW.

I'm running 6x s with 2gb of ram in windows 8. Had to change to In a 2 card Sempron setup at load its hitting Watts at the wall and stable. Well i tried to do this with a Gigabyte x and it's not working. Download BAMT from the link above.

Here's my bat I use to launch. Ethereum Mining 270x 2 Year Large. Price also wonder if the heat asus be better if I just switched positions with the top card a since the 270x looks like it has a better cooling system. I would back it down to nad see how it performs. Litecoin cooling solution extends past the back of price PCB by about an inch and solution utilizes asus heat pipes to pull heat way from the GPU to where it can be cooled by the dual litecoin. Okay update the app SDK to the latest version. Their warranty is here:

Litecoin Price Is EXPLODING! Is It The Next Bitcoin?

Your running older than the tested stack amd has out now. It comes with 2. Alright now on 2. You have to get the bios corrected.

Can you post over the numbers that are on the sticker on your card. Ill grab bios and send it over if we have a matched board. Both methods fail, so I've opened a support ticket and am just waiting on that. Unless you have a 3rd way to try? YES there is another way. Here is the guide to it. ROM" , reboot with it again. I've tried downloading from the asus website as well as update through GPU-Tweak, both methods are failing.

I've opened a ticket with asus so i'm probably a lost cause until that gets resolved. Try my suggestions here http: Not to diss them but seems like they have had some QC issues.

Start with your settings blank except I Then use the GUI to get a nice bump up and down from that from the cmd line. I make 1 bump changes up for engine in 5 increments and 10 for memory. Then wait like 3 minutes. Then back it off 2 bumps.

Then you can start hitting your TC and other settings. Honestly I leave my cards with just I 19 for the non-x as the increases in hash are not worth the extra wattage. I have a couple Xs on 1x risers. Cgminer isn't allowing me to modify the settings on the GPUs on risers?

I have also tried aticonfig overdrive to no avail. You do mean xubuntu correct? You need to have an xdesktop but Im guessing you did mean that. On the cards that are giving problems. I'm curious if I'm understanding correctly. You're running the R9 s not Xs with the default gpu and mem clocks at I 19 and undervolted to 1.

You're allowing cgminer to auto-set the thread concurrency? Yes You do not have to explicitly define the gpu mem threads or any other settings to achieve the same results.

I only specify the I 19 and the undervolting is done via bios mod. Could you please post your config file? Hi start with just I 19 and no additional settings to see if you still have HW errors. Its faster to use a bat toto dtesting before getting up and running also FTW. If you do have errors back it down to 18, and such till you have none. That Thread Concurrency doesnt look even close to correct also.

Take the number of stream processors and multiply in intervals of 4 according to readme for scrypt cgminer. Well i tried to do this with a Gigabyte x and it's not working. The bios flashes successfully, and the card boots and runs fine until BAMT finishes it's loading process and then it stays on a black screen. But when i flash the OG bios it boots up fine. GRR, so it seems the gigabyte cards voltages are alcatraz locked. Can you paste up a screen of your settings?

Also you are clearing out the stale bins prior to relaunch and removing your settings down to I 19 ONLY correct? You need to retune the card once the voltage is changed. I'll upload a pic when I get home. But yes I'm matching the bottom voltage values.

Give those a try. Look in the cgminer folder for the bin files. Its not huge if you dont find them, I just like to eliminate the possibility. I meant match the clock speeds on both bottom boxes.

Like v and gpu mem. Sometimes it takes a day to freeze and some time it takes just a few hours. When I do a reboot everything works again. I get no HW errors. What are the "good" values for a X? Not a great difference in the engines, more in the memory overclocking capability. I roll with I 19 to start. Then for engine and for MEM. Thats a diff vendor then I have so you just need to move the values up in like 5 or 10 increments for engine and mem to see whats stable.

My guess is its not an issue with the card, but an issue with something else in your setup. Tail a log and see whats running outta resources or crashing. If its freezing it could also be setting it to 20 creates a runaway thread that doesnt get closed. Thank you for your response. I got something else this morning. It crashes because of HW errors. So maybe that was the point. HW that happens only after a certain amount of time. My version of cgminer is 3. Here is my line with BIOS modified to mv for voltage: Which logs should I watch?

I've also got doubts about mv. Isn't that a bit low? I have difficulty to find ressources about the right voltage.

I just tried that and cgminer crashed. In 3 years you should have a failure I do believe that item 2 with the ""ending in R" and "is ten digits" is the thing to look for:.

Well I am looking at my box which says r9 x and has lifetime warrenty written on it as well. Does your box say anything like this? XFX website is for shit and looks like poo poo, prolly outta date. Its really a size and space issue when you do lots of combo math. Also the KW psu range is serious stuff and failures there have resulted in lots of fires from what I read on newegg reviews.

I cant risk that as all the high quality PSU's are bought up and out of stock always. Not any specific thread, as there were several, but just browse through the first few pages here: My wife just sent me a text message. I will be able to update after I get home from work and get some setup!

So far yes as they don't seem to get hot at all. Its maybe too soon to tell but so far they are doing very good. It seems like you are trying to avoid MSI 's, but just a heads up, the microcenter in Houston has 5 in stock right now. I just picked up one, didn't realize I might be hitting problems in a month. Probably just take it back in 30 days just to be safe.

After reading MSI reply in their official thread, Im done with that company. I have sent them a cruddy ton of bucks but no more. They just think we are criminals. Not entirely sure how stable the PowerColors are yet as I'm still tweaking it but the Sapphires have been running strong for weeks. This is the Sapphire x conf. Right now they're sitting between 69 and 78 degrees.

I can add the PowerColor s once I get it stable. Thats cool I am putting together a webpage that will have as much as possible about these guys once we get a few more cards in.

So far your the only one running powercolors that I can think of in the line. Best I've found is , anyone running these cards lower? I would back it down to nad see how it performs.

I had stability issues with my asus non-x cards going down consistently however then , so i gave them the extra 10 on top of the worst card just because. They are all spaced the same on the rig. They also all have the same settings and voltage set. I'm not sure whats going on.

Any ideas on this discrepancy? Changing the temperature settings in cgminer config fixed it It was in slot 2 of 7. Prolly didnt get the setting applied to it from the config. Can you paste up your config here so we can see if anything looks off?

How are your Asus Cards holding up? You think 4 cards on that power supply will hold up fine? I know it brother! I have 2 machines that are running 4 cards now. Every payout I take I toss in another 2 cards to my initial builds!

The price of the asus cards fluctuate so much And I reached my limit on a couple sites already. The hunt is part of the fun Building these rigs is going to be fun Thanks for your help and your forum full of suggestions. Whats your setting Jolly and how mch undervolt did you do? Bought my 1st one today to try it out will come this weekend.

Coz ppl say its more efficient than the x that is around right now. I got 4 of them though at around I got my butt saved bfor the price hike with in just days of me getting x. Oh nice its always good to beat the hike! I use vddc and I I will bump the engine to - and leave mem at Powertune of 5 sometimes gives me a few extra khash. I bought it because, I wanna use it for semi gaming and small mining before the prices spike up.

They dont have BF4 bundled. Rather get it from the main site that goes on sale for I had just the same amount when I ran stock volts. Does anyone know how the XFX non X hold up for mining? I can get them cheap with BF4 included. I have the X version and the non -X looks like the same reference build. I can say that the fans on my xfx cards are silent and they seem to have a new design that works better over the 6 series XFX i had prior I cannot find it on my 5 cards.

They dont have dual bios. Just make sure the computer you are using is on an APC or battery backup when you do the flash and you will be fine.

So here is what I am running currently in my Garage: Power draw is the HUGE factor here for these cards. In a 2 card Sempron setup at load its hitting Watts at the wall and stable. The beauty of this card is not its ability to be a great overclocker, as a matter of a fact I do not think this a great card for bumping huge speeds nor will most bottom of a line cards ever be, this is just not the best silicon batches The beauty of this card is the DownVolt stability you can get with a modified BIOS.

I am currently able to push it down to and not have any fluctuations or stability issues. Also the Temps hang in the 60's now vs the 80's. You can get it to the 's easy with just pushing the engine. That could be different for you and will certinally be different for each card. The Voltage however has been consistently applied and successful for all 10 of these cards. These I got from Best Buy actually cleaned out the limited supply in Austin last week and got them to price match Newegg also.

These are bad ass for XFX cards. I would not recommend them nor powercolor just from past gaming rigs, but their R9 line seems very strong and that lifetime warranty 3 years for mining failure is gonna be hard to beat. Regularly these are in the range but have been bumping all over the place recently with the card shortages hitting hard on the higher lines.

These downvolt to stable but the cards already overclocked and so runs a higher wattage from the start. I can double my capacity with some PCIE 1x - 16x risers but have had a lot of searching without much success on a quality brand. Want to add to the discussion? Gigabyte gets me each on BAMT, it's great!

You need better airflow around your cards. I'm drowning in stupidity over here. Total cost per rig with 2 cards, can expand to 4 is: With a windows 7 license and extra ram. I'm hoping you can help me out here.

Worked like a charm. Can you export it somehow? I bought three more just this week. Specs tips and tricks plus configs are great here also. I will post results as soon as I can: I found out that anything over an intensity of 13 starts to generate hardware errors. So I came here and read through. Thank you everyone for your efforts. This page has helped alot. I learned about the lookup gap which I havn't needed to tweak before.

After extensive testing, I can achieve KHS with an intensity of If I bring the TC up to anything above , I have to adjust the lookup gap to a 4 otherwise I get an enqueue kernel error.

Also lookup gap doesn't like odd numbers: Here is my current config:. I was trying to run it along an Apple version which makes KHS at intensity 20!. All software is Windows 7 32bit, Catalyst I also tried Windows 7 64Bit with the same results on both rigs. Just putting this out there. I will try stuffing this card in an optiplex Core i5 and see if the hardware errors go away The settings above seem to be the best rating.

I was able to stuff this in the i5 board with 4GB of PC HW errors above -I Maybe it's the card? Maybe this thing is power hungry and needs seperate 12v rails: I also have a nice W PSU and that is recommended for the x. My TC is at 16k and gpu powertune at 20, maybe try that. I finally found the sweet area. Need to narrow down the spot.

I tried a w supply, no change. This was not hardware related. I stuffed it back into the Precision Adjusted TC to with a LG of 0. Increased intensity to 16 and it hit KHs with 0 HW errors. Running at C in a cold basement. This gave me 's. I wonder what the TC gap is between the various X series.

Some have shaders, and some have Thanks for the tips. That seems a bit hot still. I get khs C at all times. I also recommend using CGWatcher which will minimize downtime from crashes, especially if you're AFK, though I don't get crashing its more there for the pretty graph ;. I tested these on all my previously known good configurations and a few that I hadn't tested.

I couldnt get a decent hash rate out of it at all. Create the command file to start the app: Here's my config file. I'd say try it on any x but will most likely work best on the Gigabyte ones. Since the hash hijack exploit I've updated my conf file to include: Try to set --shaders to It helped me with my gigabyte x.

Remove all params and set only intensity, shaders, tc. If HW is 0, you can set memclock and then engine. Hopefully I'll be joining in on the conversation as soon as my 4 x Gigabyte R9 x's come in on Tuesday. Have you fixed your problem? I also got a Asus R9 x, but I can only get less than k with cgminer 3. I have ever reached k with guiminer beofre, but some problems later and it never work again.

I can almost only set , if higher, crash or can't work also the Intensity is less than 16, if higher, generate too much HW I got it mining in no time. Checking long term stability now. At the time of writing there is a huge bit coin crash under way. I hope the mining rig will still be profitable. The noise of the cards is pretty terrible and they are also running at over 80C in a hot mining environment.

All in all I do not recommend the Powercolor Devil for mining. It seems to be a decent gaming card though and looks pretty cool. One of my cards is bad. The temperature goes up to 90 degrees and cgmines kills the card. It seems to be stable with at 77 good cards to 83 degrees bad card. With these settings I get khash per card. Hello I have done some research on this specific card: I have actually found clocking your memory to tends to be unstable.

I clock the memory no higher than which I reference to this article here: This is about the most stable and best hashrate I have gotten so far out of the devil. I have found setting --thread-concurrency to actually may lower your temperatures dramatically and as well as increase your hash rate if you use a devil card, be sure to try it out.

My problem is thread concurrency, it's at Any higher and the card fails in cgminer. Why is it so low??!! I have mine at 12 and if I raise it to 13 for some reason I get 10khs less. I'm finally building my first miner after I passed on the idea 6 months ago. Oops , And I really need to thank you guys. The thread really got my brain going and I've been having a fun day trying to set this up.

I've run into a few issues that I can't seem to find the answer for. I'm stuck at I'm using windows 8 enterprise and wondering if somehow that may be important? I tried entering that and the sync objects 1 into windows Via the control panel. I'm curious if that has the same effect. More importantly I'm bouncing between averaging This can't be normal. Put the setx commands at the top of your batch file prior to launching cgminer.

These are environment variables that cgminers looks for. Here's my bat I use to launch. Typically a 2GB card will only allow for an TC. Now you can specify something higher like , or Sometimes cgminer will not start with a high TC and generate an error. You can adjust --lookup-gap higher to compensate for a higher TC. It may not be worth it if the lookup gap goes above 4. You'll get crap for hash ratings.

I assume your mining LTC? Also to note my temps have been at at solid C never hit 60C. Here are my settings: HIS brand two coolers, runs around 60C in an open air case. Anyone have problems with their system crashing when using the --gpu-memclock and --gpu-engine parameters?

I've been trying the different suggestions here on my x and have this problem. The best config I've found so far is using: But if I add --gpu-engine --gpu-memclock my system crashes and locks up within seconds. I can see a faster hashrate during this time by adding it but it won't run more than 10 seconds like that. This card doesnt need to have overcomplex settings applied to it. It is best to just ensure that it is getting the correct downvolt, and start with I 19 then move your configs around from that point.

Here is a quick guide that also covers BIOS modding the card: Just built my first rig. Can someone give advice on what the settings should be please?

Also, could it be that I only have 2gb ram in the system? It's quiet enough that I can sleep in the same room comfortably. Like another poster said, the best thing to do is start with no thread-concurrency, let cgminer run for a bit, then check the. Just wanted to share with other R9 x users my experiences so far. You'll see in my previous post I got a pretty good result. However, I've learned something much more important in my pursuit. Most of the time I see people aiming for the highest KH figure These to figures that you must keep an eye on is your WU and Rejection figures.

The WU figure is what kind of hashing power is actually being sent to the pool. It's all good and well if you have a million KHs of course that is a wildly exaggerated figure , but if the pool is only receiving KHs, what is the point? But let's say you now further tweak the settings and you get to KHs. Also, never use the no-submit-stale command.

Just because your system deems a share to be stale does not mean that it actually IS stale. So let it submit it. Do the drivers make any difference here? I'm coming up with a --thread-concurrency from the. But that is with a lot of hardware errors. I dropped it to for a stable KHS of How important are hardware errors?

I've read everything you wrote here. After this it fluctuates up and down but never goes much over Eventually after a few hours both cards stop working altogether. Please could someone indicate which lines in the cgminer. Also, how do I calculate the best thread-concurrency value? I have seem so many alternatives and have no idea which one to go for. Lastly, if I do change the concurrency value, is there any other config I should chnage in parallel?

TC or shaders if you haven't set TC has the greatest impact on stability I'd say. Presumably no shares are actually being accepted by the pool. I am currently using 3 Sapphire x Vapor-X. So far I've got: XXX -w --shaders 0 --intensity 15 -v 1 -g 1 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency --gpu-engine --gpu-memclock --gpu-memdiff 0 --gpu-powertune 20 --gpu-fan 85 --temp-target 80 --temp-cutoff 90 No matter what I try, for thread concurrency seems to be the one but am getting HW errors quite frequently.

Just restarted it a minute ago and got 8 already. Anyone messed with a X yet? Want to add to the discussion? Will keep you updated. If you can't, no worries, I'm glad I was able to help a fellow miner out! I can however tip you some doge! I think this is what he meant.

Yeah, no real change. Cgminer might be smart enough to correct these mistakes I think. Will tip if it remains stable.
